Descriptions

MAXON MD5012C-ZR is a highly specialized industrial wireless roaming client featuring an innovative Dual-5GHz architecture, purpose-built for mission-critical industrial automation and material handling scenarios. Compliant with IEEE 802.11a/n/ac standards, the MD5012C-ZR distinguishes itself from conventional dual-band clients by utilizing two entirely independent 5GHz RF links, completely mitigating the congested and interference-heavy 2.4GHz spectrum.
In typical smart factory and intralogistics environments, the 2.4GHz band is highly prone to severe electromagnetic noise caused by co-located machinery and handheld devices, which compromises wireless roaming reliability. The solves this industrial bottleneck by providing two symmetrical, high-speed 5GHz links, each supporting a data rate up to 867Mbps. This active-backup topology guarantees identical transmission performance across both channels, delivering a deterministic, smoother, and highly predictable handover effect for mobile automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
By maintaining concurrent primary and backup wireless data paths to the upstream infrastructure APs, the performs instantaneous millisecond-level link switching if the primary signal degrades or encounters multi-path fading. This feature achieves zero-packet-loss wireless roaming, which is vital for securing uninterrupted PLC motion control sequences and telemetry streams when AGVs or inspection robots navigate at high operational speeds.
Furthermore, its integrated Intelligent Traffic Shaping and Quality of Service (QoS) prioritization engines precisely identify and isolate critical payloads—such as motion control instructions and safety-critical I/O signals. This optimization minimizes latency and jitter for core automation processes. Housed in a compact metal enclosure with a standard DIN-rail mounting mechanism, the MD5012C-ZR seamlessly integrates inside confined electrical control cabinets, onboard AGV chassis, or robot bodies, drastically simplifying field deployment complexity and saving premium space.
